What Do You Hear?
What do you hear in the quiet moments before sleep takes you?
What do you hear when you steal a moment of peace in a world full of distractions?
How do you hear when so much is piped into our brains that’s meant to distract? And maybe the hardest question: How do you find those moments at all, when they seem to grow smaller every day?

I’ll be honest, these questions have been plaguing me. Every time I sit down to seek God’s voice, something or someone jumps in to pull me away from my purpose. Lately, though, I’ve been hearing a whisper.
Grow your ministry.

Naturally, I shut that down fast.
“Excuse me, Lord? What ministry? You know I don’t like crowds. They give me full-body sweats. And palpitations. I’m having one right now just typing this!” But the whisper didn’t stop.
Louder this time: Grow your ministry.

I tried to bargain: “Really? Can’t we stick with something quieter? Maybe knitting?”
Then came the thunder: GROW YOUR MINISTRY, TRACEY LYNN!

Oh, great. Middle-named by God. That’s never a good sign. And here’s the thing, I knew exactly what He meant. I’ve known for years. He’s been planting seeds in my heart, letting them grow while I’ve been ignoring them, because fear is easier than obedience. But He’s patient. And He’s persistent. And so here I am.

I may not be thrilled about the sweaty palms and the leap of faith, but I’m listening. And this, this blog is where I’ll begin. I’m calling it simple: just a space to share the Lord’s message as He lays it on my heart. My prayer is that as you read, you’ll hear His voice more clearly in your own life, and that it draws you closer in your walk with our Father. He is waiting.
