Faithfully Stitched for the Journey Ahead

December 4, 2025
 /

I keep feeling this stirring lately. Something shifting in the air. Something moving quietly beneath the surface of my everyday routines. I cannot always name it, but I can sense it. God is preparing me for something. Something new. Something bigger than I expected. Something that requires courage I do not always feel like I have. And yet, He keeps stitching. One small piece at a time.
One season at a time.
One lesson at a time.

When I look back, I can see it so clearly. Every chapter of my life has carried a thread that did not make sense in the moment. Hard seasons. Waiting seasons. Learning seasons. Moments where God whispered something I did not want to hear or asked me to do something I felt wildly unqualified to attempt. But He kept stitching. He stitched strength into the places where I broke.
He stitched patience into the days that felt like detours.
He stitched humility into the moments when pride tried to take over. He stitched courage into the spaces where fear had lived for far too long.

And now, standing here, I realize He has been preparing me all along. Preparing me to write.
Preparing me to share.
Preparing me to speak truth even when my voice shakes.
Preparing me to step into ministry even when my knees argue with the idea.
Preparing me to trust Him with the path I cannot see.

I think about the kind of woman I want my children to see. My daughter, standing at the beginning of her college years. My two sons, finding their footing as they grow into men. I want them to see a mother who is not fearless, but faithful. Not perfect, but willing. Not someone who knows all the answers, but someone who follows God even when the map is nothing more than a whisper. Because if I want them to listen for God’s voice, I have to show them what it looks like to listen myself.

And that is the journey I am on now.
A journey stitched with obedience.
A journey stitched with surrender.
A journey stitched with hope that refuses to quit. Blogging is part of it.
Writing is part of it.
Following His thread, even when it curves in directions I never planned, is part of it. God equips us long before He sends us.
He shapes us long before He reveals the assignment.
He grows us in the hidden places so we can stand in the light without falling apart.

Maybe you feel it too.
That quiet tug.
That sense that God is preparing you for something you cannot fully understand yet. If so, here is what I am learning. Trust the stitching.
Trust the season you are in right now.
Trust that God wastes nothing.
Every thread has a purpose.
Every lesson has a future.
Every moment is forming you into the person who will be ready when He says, Go. And when that moment comes, we will step forward.
Not because we feel brave.
Not because we feel ready.
But because He is the One who called us.
And He is the One who holds the thread.

With hope for the road ahead,

Lynn
